Head Office, Istanbul Tuzla
At Weser Maritim, we collaborate with İSTAÇ, the official authority responsible for ship waste collection in Istanbul, to ensure environmentally responsible and compliant waste management services. İSTAÇ, a subsidiary of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, operates under MARPOL regulations and manages the collection, processing, and disposal of waste generated by vessels in Istanbul’s waters.
Comprehensive Waste Management Process:
- Waste Reception: İSTAÇ provides dedicated waste reception facilities at Istanbul ports, anchorage zones, and designated collection points. This ensures that all waste, including oily waste, bilge water, and solid garbage, is handled efficiently.
- Recycling and Disposal: Collected waste undergoes treatment and, where possible, recycling to recover valuable resources. Non-recyclable materials are safely disposed of in compliance with international environmental standards.
- Monitoring and Documentation: A robust documentation system ensures transparency and compliance with both local and global regulations.
By partnering with İSTAÇ, Weser Maritim ensures that shipowners and operators meet all environmental requirements while contributing to the sustainability of Istanbul’s marine ecosystem.
